New Black Stars head coach Carlos Queiroz has started a trip across Europe as he prepares for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. He will meet Ghanaian players and check their current form.
The Portuguese gaffer, who was unveiled in Accra last week, first began work by watching the Black Galaxies before travelling to Europe last Sunday to continue his player assessment.
During his trip, Queiroz has already spoken with senior players in the squad, including captain Jordan Ayew and other key figures, as he tries to build strong communication ahead of the tournament.
He is also expected to meet other experienced players and young talents, while watching club matches involving Ghanaian players in different European leagues.
The tour is an important part of his early planning. It will help him share his tactics, monitor players’ performance, and build team unity before the World Cup.
He is being supported by his technical team, who are helping with scouting and player observation.
Ghana, who are in Group L alongside England, Croatia and Panama, will play at the World Cup for the fifth time, with the tournament to be hosted in the United States, Canada and Mexico.
