FC Samartex and Nsoatreman FC will battle it out against each other tonight at the new TnA Stadium in the 2024 'Champion of Champions.'
This is the Ghana version of the Super Cup where the champions of the league cross swords with the FA Cup winners to determine the real conquerors and it is also game that serves as the curtain raiser for the new Ghana Premier League season.
Medeama SC won the last edition after beating Dreams FC by 2-1 in what was an exciting game at the Cape Coast Stadium in 2023.
FC Samartex emerged champions of the Premier League with 61 points and they achieved the mark in just their second campaign in the topflight championship.
On the other hand, Nsoatreman FC also clinched the FA Cup after beating regional rivals Bofoakwa Tano FC via penalty shootouts in a very thrilling game that finished 1-1 in regulation time.
Both teams are representing the country in Africa this year and have been very impressive so far having both advanced to the next qualifying rounds- hoping to go all the way to cruise into the money zone.
In the Premier League last season, Nsoatreman FC won the first leg at home by 1-0 while FC Samartex also revenged with a 2-0 victory at the Nsenkyire Sports Complex in the return leg.
The 'Champion of Champions' is slated for 18:00GMT (6:00pm) tonight.
