In recent times the various Ghana national teams has had a torrid time featuring in tournaments as they keep exhibiting woeful performance which has sparked a wild rage of debate among football loving people.
Ghana's Black Meteors was booted out of the ongoing U-23 AFCON in Morocco after winning just a game, a nervy 3-2 win over Congo. In their second group game they were thrashed 5-1 by host Morocco and exited the tournament following a 1-1 draw with Guinea.
With the Black Meteors exit, culminating to the woes of Ghana football in recent tournaments, the swift decline of the Ghana Premier League and also Colts football, the MP for Subin Constituency believes it will be a good decision to change the handlers of football in the country.
“The way forward is that there has to be a massive shakeup at the GFA. The narrative out there about the operations of the FA is not reassuring. You may have an interest in dictating to coaches which players to field among other things," he said in an interview with Citi Sports.
“If these rumours are true then I am really afraid for the future of our football,” he stated in an interview with Citi Sports."
The GFA has fixed July 10, 2023, as the date for their 29th ordinary congress where a date for the next FA elections might be a subject for discussion.
