Ghana football legend, Charles Taylor has acknowledged that there are so many talents in the country and most important thing is unearthing them isn’t difficult but we don’t have good coaches to nurture those players to becoming world-class.

Ghana undoubtedly is regarded the second country on the African continent that exports the most number of players to Europe behind their West African neighbors Nigeria.

Despite all these, it’s very hard to see these Ghanaian nationals playing the game at the highest level with less than thirty 30 players currently in the European top five leagues.

In an interview on Sporty FM Drive, the ex- Hearts of Oak and Kotoko star has described as lazy and believes they never learn and grow on the job making it very difficult to have young players adequately prepared for the international challenge.

“Ghana has talented players but coaches are lazy. They are not polishing players.”

Charles Taylor enjoyed a stellar sixteen year career where he further featured for clubs like Great Olympics, Etoile du Sahel, Enugu Rangers and Berekum Chelsea.

He made sixteen appearances for the Black Stars.
