Ahead of Ghana's first game in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations [AFCON] qualifying match against Angola at Baba Yara Stadium, coach Chris Hughton has emphasized the importance of getting the right balance for the team and avoiding conceding any goals.
The 64-year-old, who will be leading the team for the first time, hopes to start their campaign for their tenth consecutive AFCON appearance in Ivory Coast with a strong performance.
Speaking at a pre-match conference on Wednesday, Hughton stated, "We need to have the right balance. The most important thing is not to concede goals tomorrow."
The game is scheduled to kick off at 16:00GMT, and Ghana will travel to Luanda for the reverse game on March 27.
The team had their final training session at Baba Yara Stadium on Wednesday, with the exception of Mohammed Salisu, who missed training due to fitness concerns.
Ghana and Angola are currently joint-top of Group E with four points each after two games.
