The Ghana Football Association have confirmed Ghana's final 26-man squad for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations will be announced on Monday, January 1, 2024.

Coach Chris Hughton weeks ago, released a provisional list of 55 players for the AFCON of which he will trim down subsequently to the final cut.

However, it has now been confirmed the ex- Brighton coach will face the press tomorrow at Alisa Hotel to announce the final squad in an event which is slated for 11am

The Black Stars camp will be opened on Tuesday, January 2, in Kumasi where the team will be made to be away from the media and the public in order to get a peaceful environment to have themselves adequately prepared for the tournament.

Ghana will face the Brave Warriors of Namibia in a pre-tournament friendly on January 8, at the Baba Yara Stadium and that will be their last game before they jet off to Cote D'Ivoire for the main tournament.

Ghana have been housed in Group B alongside grand masters Egypt, Cape Verde and Mozambique.

The 2023 Africa Cup of Nations will begin on January 13, 2024, and the four-time champions will face the Blue Sharks of Cape Verde in their first game the next day in Abidjan.
