Black Princesses head coach, Yussif Basigi, showered praise on striker Mukarama Abdulai following Ghana's thrilling victory over Nigeria's Falconets on Thursday night.
Mukarama, a key figure for the Ghana U20 women's team, played a pivotal role in the final of the women’s football tournament at the 13th African Games. In a tense battle at the Cape Coast Stadium, Abdulai showcased her talent by scoring a sensational goal in extra time, securing a remarkable 2-1 comeback win for the Black Princesses.
In his post-match interview, Coach Basigi lauded Abdulai's performance, expressing his unwavering belief in her ability to deliver when it mattered most.
"Mukarama is a household name. I knew with time she would make it. She's the most experienced striker amongst all the strikers here, and I’m not surprised she has made the difference," remarked Coach Basigi.
Abdulai's heroics complemented Tracey Twum's goal, which also contributed to Ghana's victory over Nigeria. With this triumph, the Black Princesses added another gold medal to Ghana's tally at the 13th African Games, further solidifying their status as a dominant force in women's football on the continent.
