Black Princesses head coach, Yussif Basigi has announced his provisional squad for the 2024 FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup slated for August.

The 35-woman list comprises of six goalkeepers, ten defenders, ten midfielders and nine strikers and will subsequently be trimmed down to the final one.

The squad has got some exciting talents like Stella Nyamekye, Wasima Mohammed, Success Ameyaa, Mary Amponsah, Maltese-based Salamatu Abdulai and others. But surprisingly Abdulai Mukarama who was the team's hero at the African Games is excluded with the reasons not stated yet.

The Princesses early this year sealed qualification to their seventh consecutive FIFA World Cup with a stunning performance in three qualifying rounds; having sent out countries like Guinea-Bissau, Eswatini and wrapped up with Senegal.

The team opened camp last Thursday, June 27, in Cape Coast, and will continue with series of training sessions until the final squad is selected for the huge challenge at world stage.
