Great Olympics defender, Larry Ibrahim Sumaila said they are ever ready for the Democracy Cup game coming up against their regional rivals Hearts of Oak and has called on all their supporters to come out in numbers to rally behind them.
The Wonder Club have been in serious preparations towards the new season at the La McDan Park with the main aim of getting into the new season on a higher note with their quest to topflight football still intact.
The team were handed a surprise visit from the Twellium Industrial Company - who donated cartons of water and energy drink to the team which definitely will serve as a boost heading into the game.
Speaking ahead of the game, the enterprising lateral wants to see a packed stadium this weekend and has assured their supporters of giving their all to clinch the trophy.
"We all know when it comes to Hearts of Oak and Olympics, the rivalry between the two teams is very great and intense,” he told reporters after training on Thursday. “We call on everyone to come to the stadium to witness a very good football game.”
“We want to invite all our supporters to rally behind us on the 5th of September at the Legon Sports Stadium to cheer us on so that we can bring back the glory to Great Olympics. We won’t disappoint.”
The game is slated for Friday, September 5, at the University of Ghana Stadium.
