The Black Stars of Ghana will go to Europe in March to face Austria in a friendly match as part of their build-up to the 2026 World Cup.
The nerve cracker will be played on Friday, March 27, 2026, at the Ernst Happel Stadium in Vienna, with kick-off at 5:00pm GMT.
The match will be a good test for head coach Otto Addo and his players as they prepare for the World Cup.
Ghana are in Group I of the 2026 tournament, where they will play England, Croatia and Panama. The March games will help the coaches look at players, try new ideas and improve the team.
Austria will also use the match to get ready for the World Cup. They are in Group J with Argentina, Algeria and Jordan.
The Austria game will be Ghana’s first friendly in March. Three days later, the Black Stars will play Germany on Monday, March 30, 2026. Both matches are expected to be important as Ghana get ready for the 2026 World Cup.
