Asante Kotoko board member, Nana Baffour Kwame Kusi II, has revealed that they called Nana Yaw Amponsah but failed to answer the call and insists that they want to hear from him in order to make a decision on the future of the club.
Last week, Dr. Prosper Narteh Ogum told the club officials that he has resigned from the club as the head coach, according to Asante Kotoko administrative manager Emmanuel Newton Dasoberi amidst a series of disagreements between the Dr. Narteh Ogum and the Chief Executive Officer Nana Yaw Amponsah.
The board chairman, Dr. Kwame Kyei, summoned both the Nana Yaw Amponsah and Dr. Prosper Narteh Ogum to a meeting yesterday but only the coach attended, although Ankobeahene claimed that it wasn't a sanctioned official Board meeting.
Nana Kusi lI says they are waiting for Nana Yaw Amponsah to avail himself to tell his side of the issue after not answering the call of the board Chairman.
"Chairman (Kwame Kyei) used his phone to call him two times, but he didn't answer. So we don't know whether he left the phone somewhere to a place or he's not feeling well so we're waiting for him to call back " he revealed on Kessben TV.
"So we're expecting him to call back and if he calls Chairman back, Chairman will give him a date for us to meet him to hear also from him as well.
"If we listen to his side, then we will know the way forward," he added.
