The 20-year-old promising last line of defence has been handed his maiden invite into the national senior side of the four-time African champions by the Portuguese experienced gaffer ahead of this month's FIFA international window

Dutch-born Ghanaian goalkeeper Paul Reverson has gained a maiden call-up into the Ghana national football team, the Black Stars for the friendly encounter against Mexico on May 22, 2026.

The shot-stopper, currently on the books of Dutch Eredivisie giants Ajax, is among the 3 goalkeepers being shortlisted by the newly-appointed Black Stars manager Carlos Queiroz in his 23-man squad for the high-profile contest this month.

With this call-up, Reverson could make a strong case for himself over the final squad selection for the forthcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup to be staged in the United States, Canada and Mexico in June.

The 1.94 metre tall glovesman has so far kept 2 clean sheets by conceding 32 across 16 appearances for the Ajax U21 in this ongoing football season.
