The former Asante Kotoko title-winning coach has unveiled his final roster for the upcoming continental juvenile showpiece in the north African nation this month 

Black Starlets coach Dr. Prosper Ogum has named a 22-man squad for the 2026 U-17 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament slated for May 13 to June 2, 2026 in Morocco.

The list comprises of three goalkeepers, seven defenders, six midfielders and six forwards, with key cog of stars including Mark Kagawa Mensah, David Ofori and Gavi Robinho Yao leading the pack in chasing for the continental glory.

Right after unveiling his final squad for the tournament, the former WAFA tactician has told the Ghana FA website: ''We have carefully selected this squad based on form, discipline, and tactical understanding.'' He added: ''These boys have shown great commitment during our preparations, and I believe they are ready to compete at the highest level.” 

The two-time African champions have been paired alongside Senegal, South Africa and Algeria in Group D. They face Algeria in the group-stage opener on May 14, 2026 19:00 GMT before coming up against Senegal on May 17, 2026, 16:00 GMT for the second group phase fixtures and would wrap up their final fixture against South Africa on May 20, 2026, 19:00 GMT.
