Aspiring chairman of the Ellembelle District Football Association (EDFA), Emmanuel Kwofie (Donzy) has stated that the dwindling fortunes of football in the area is affecting the development of the game.

The former Karela United supporters chief went ahead to state that the Muniru Ussher led administration has not contributed to anything in terms of lifting the game and has performed abysmally, as he has thoroughly starved football fans off any good thing.

Speaking to Domesticsportsgh, he said: “In my opinion, our industry is coming down and our football is not developing, so I think we need a change, that’s why I have filed nomination to contest”. In fact we need a change because it’s been years now and our football is not developing.

“We are ready to work hard and help build our football. We need a change in both the chairmanship position and some of the executives because, in the last four years, they have not added anything positive to the game. Everything is declining," he elaborated.

Emmanuel Kwofie is expected to face a solid competition with the incumbent in the upcoming District Football Elections.
