Former Ghana goalkeeper Fatau Dauda has commended Black Stars defender Dennis Odoi following his superlative performance against Madagascar.

The Black Stars unleashed a 3-0 win against Madagascar at the Cape Coast stadium in the 2023 Nations Cup qualifier on Wednesday night.

The Club Brugge full-back delivered a grandiose performance for the four-time African Champions to bag the three points.

Reacting to the team's performance, Fatau Dauda has shared his excitement on seeing Odoi play and compared his style of play to former Black Stars defender Harrison Afful.

“Dennis Odoi reminds me of Harrison Afful, he is able to dash forward and defend as well. To be able to succeed in such positions, you need to be intelligent,” he said.

“I think we’ve gotten the right replacement after Harrison Afful and Samuel Inkoom. I think the Ghana FA are still in talks with Tariq Lamptey to switch nationality so we can get a lot of options in that position.”

Ghana will jet-out to Angola to play Central African Republic in their second Group E game on June 5.
