Bofoakwa Tano FC despite being handed a very tough encounter managed a 5-4 on penalties win against Skyy FC to cruise into the semi final after 1-1 in extra time.
Both teams started the game explosively and attacked right from onset in search of the opener with so much eagerness with the hosts slightly on top.
Bofo finally opened the scoring account on the 15th minute through Elijah Addai who scored with a thunderbolt just at the edge of the box to break the deadlock.
Skyy FC didn't relent after going down and mounted so much pressure and got the equalizer on the 26th minute- in a chance that came out of nothing.
In the second half, it was a balanced game as usual with so many chances created but again the two sides looked very strong in defence.
It finished 1-1 after full time and the game moved straight into extra time which also saw no goal after thirty minutes.
Bofoakwa Tano subsequently won 5-4 on penalties to advance into the semi final where they will face regional rivals Nsoatreman FC.
