Hearts of Oak are out of league action this weekend but warmed themselves up with an emphatic 5-1 victory over Krobo Mobilisation FC in a friendly earlier this afternoon at the Kpobiman Sports Complex.
Coach Aboubakar Ouattara named a very strong line up that included Linda Mtange, Ibrahim Salisu, Hamza Issah, Kassim Cisse and others for the game with goalkeeper Sharif Shuaib handed starting berth this time.
The 'Phobians' opened the scoring account in just twenty minutes into the game through Congolese import Linda Mtange.
The lead was cancelled out fifteen minutes later by the travellers to level things up before Ibrahim Salifu scored a beautiful volley on the 39th minute to restore their lead before half time.
In the second half, Hearts came with a new line up with Suraj Seidu, Issah Kuka, Martin Karikari, Enoch Asubonteng, captain Kofi Agbesimah, all being unleashed in the game.
Nineteen minutes from the break, Suraj Seidu scored a brace, on the 55th and 64th minute respectively to increase the tally to 4-1 for the Rainbow Club.
Before Issah Kukah also got his name on the scoresheet with fourteen minutes to full time to wrap up the win after collecting a brilliant assist from Dennis Korsah.
Hearts of Oak will use this game as a preparatory test as they prepare for their next league fixture against Bibiani Goldstars.
