Dreams FC secured a dramatic 4-3 penalty shootout victory over Heart of Lions after a pulsating 1-1 draw in their MTN FA Cup quarter-final clash at the Cape Coast Stadium. 

The ‘Dzie Woa Nu’ lads broke the deadlock in the 34th minute when Seedorf Asante made a brilliant run into the box to tap into the net at a close range from a cross delivered by Bismark Amin.

The ‘Still Believe’ boys pushed for the equaliser in the second half and came close in the 54th minute when John Antwi combined well with Suraj Seidu inside the penalty area, but the latter fired his effort wide.

The Still Believe lads continued to press forward and finally found the breakthrough deep into stoppage time.

In the 91st minute, Suraj Seidu produced a superb curler from a free-kick to level the score and send the contest into extra time.

Neither side managed to find the winner during the additional 30 minutes, forcing the game into a penalty shootout.

Dreams FC held their nerve from the spot to win 4-3 on penalties, booking their place in the semi-final of the competition and are on their way to their second title.
