Ahead of Berekum Chelsea's MTN FA Cup semi-final game against Asante Kotoko, Bibires attacker Emmanuel Sarpong states they cannot afford to lose.
The Bibires will come up against the Porcupines on Sunday, May 11, at the Tarkwa TnA Stadium in a tantalizing clash.
There is no doubt of the importance of the match given the stats between the two teams and a win may mean to the victor. But is it a must-win match for Berekum Chelsea as stated by Sarpong.
"Yes, we are ready and focused on beating Asante Kotoko because our coach Samuel Boadu has told us we can also do it. Our management led by Obed Nana Kwame Nketia has assured us that they're ready to sponsor us in Africa so we should do our best to beat Kotoko and we will beat them”, he told Ghanasportspage.
“Our leaders are ready to sponsor us for Africa, so motivation-wise we are ready.
“Sunday’s game is a must-win for Berekum Chelsea. We are well prepared, physically, spiritually, mentally and everything and we are ready to deliver on Sunday."
This season Sarpong has made 25 appearances across all competitions for Berekum Chelsea, netting four goals.
