Berekum Chelsea forward, Stephen Amankona is set to receive his maiden call-up to Ghana's senior national team, the Black Stars according to reports in Ghana.
The deadly goal-wizard has scored 13 goals in 23 appearances in the Ghana Premier League this season.
The 25-year-old is set to be called up by head coach Otto Addo for the upcoming four-nation tournament in London, which comprises Nigeria, Jamaica, and Trinidad & Tobago in celebrating the best of African and Caribbean football.
On Tuesday, May 27, the TriniJam Derby will see Trinidad & Tobago clip-it-out with Jamaica in their first-ever meeting on British soil. The following day, May 28, Ghana will clash with fellow West African giants Nigeria in a renewal of their fierce rivalry.
The tourney will end on Saturday, May 31, with a double-header; one game to decide third place, leading up to the grand finale which will determine who wins the 2025 Unity Cup.
