Chris Hughton, the Ghana head coach, is preparing to lead the Black Stars in their upcoming match of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament.

However, the team will have to face the game without four key players.

One notable absence will be attacking midfielder Daniel-Kofi Kyereh, who has been sidelined due to injury for several months. Unfortunately, his recovery period has been extended to the off-season, making him unavailable for selection.

In addition to Kyereh, three other Black Stars players, Tariq Lamptey, Mohammed Salisu, and Antoine Semenyo, are also nursing injuries and will not be part of the Ghana squad for the upcoming match against Madagascar.

All three players compete in the English Premier League and will have to watch the game from their homes.

Coach Chris Hughton will need to find suitable replacements for these players and maintain the team's strength as they continue their AFCON qualifiers in June.
