Former Black Stars captain, Andre Ayew is currently in a very good form which is why GFA ExCO member Frederick Acheampong feels it will only be fair to hand him an invite ahead of the upcoming World Cup qualifiers due how committeed he's always been to the nation.
At 35, Andre is still catching headlines in the Ligue 1 for Le Havre having scored and assisted over the weekend to inspire them to a vital 3-4 away win at RC Lens.
After 17 appearances so far in the French topflight, the evergreen attacker has four goals and an assist to boast of despite coming into most of these matches as a substitute and is looking forward to getting more as the season progresses.
His ability to still hold up play, run, jump and always keeping opposition defenders on their toes doesn't' depict his age as he is still playing like he is in his mid-twenties.
In an interview on Kumasi-based Akoma FM, Frederick Acheampong, famously known as 'Achie', believes Andre is currently playing competitively and is very active as well hence deserves to be in the next Black Stars call-up.
"Dede Ayew is one of the Black Stars' most committed players. As long as he is playing competitive football, his teammates in his team in France, some of them play for their national teams."
"So if he is in the right frame of mind and playing top-level football in France, and the coach feels that he needs him, why not? He has always showed commitment whenever he is given the opportunity to play for the Black Stars."
Coach Otto Addo is expected to announce his squad in the coming weeks as Ghana prepare to take on Chad and Madagascar in match-day five and six of the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
