Black Starlets head coach Stephen Frimpong Manso has emphasized the need for thorough talent screening as he begins rebuilding Ghana's U-17 national team.
“Screening alone will take us some time because the numbers are huge, but since we aim to do things better this time, we need to take that time,” Frimpong Manso stated.
“It doesn’t matter how long it takes; we will ensure we find the right talents and prepare them well to achieve qualification.”
Frimpong Manso’s approach highlights his dedication to identifying the best players from across the country, including overlooked and unattached talents. This strategy is crucial as Ghana seeks to regain its footing on the global stage, having missed out on FIFA U-17 World Cup qualification since 2017.
With Ghana's illustrious history in U-17 football, including two World Cup titles, the coach aims to rebuild a formidable squad by prioritizing meticulous scouting and thorough preparation to restore the team’s dominance.
