Member of Parliament for Ningo-Prampram constituency, Hon. Sam George has given a hint that, English gaffer Chris Hughton has already been named the new coach of the Black Stars and is only left with official announcement from the country's highest football governing body.
The Ghana senior men national team has been without a head coach since the exit of Otto Addo after the World Cup and the GFA have been on a lookout since in search for a new gaffer.
There has been series of applications from over 100 coaches worldwide who have all exhibited strong interest for the vacant Black Stars job including coach Akwesi Appiah who is seeking for a third spell.
However, the renowned politician in an interview gave a gist that, ex- Newcastle United and Brighton and Hove Albion manager Chris Hughton has already been named the new coach. He said in an interview on Joy Prime.
"That [coaching] job they have given it to Chris Hughton already so why are we wasting our time?” he quizzed on Joy Prime.
“They have given it to him because they want someone they can manipulate, someone they can use to do their business, someone they can tell him to bring his team selection [with changes being made with regards to agency callups] regardless of how long the person has played or not played.
“People are using GFA to make money, they are using it to feed their family.”, he added.
