Mr. Stephen Appiah- Cheif Executive Officer of Ghana second-tier side Future Stars, has been appointed as a member of the Local Organizing Committee (LOC) of the miden WAFU Zone B U-20 Women's Championship which will be held in Kumasi next month.
The enterprising young man who also doubles as the Head of IT department at the Region football association, has derived some experience from the local game, having played a vital role in helping the Kwamo-based side become a mainstay in the national first division championship, having faced some difficulties since securing qualification for the first time in 2021.
He's now been named to be part of the local organizing committee- who will ensure the inaugural tourney will be a successful one, with the committee being chaired by Ashanti Regional Football Association chairman Mr. Osei Tutu Agyemang.
Reacting to the appointment, Mr. Stephen Appiah feels very elated for this recognition and has expressed readiness to help make the competition a memorable one.

The competition is slated for Saturday, May 20, to Sunday, June 4, 2023 and will comprise of seven countries from West Africa.
Host nation Ghana, Nigeria, Cote D'Ivoire, Burkina Faso, Niger, Benin and Togo have all exhibited interest of participation.
