Ghana Football Association have appointed Bibiani Goldstars gaffer Stephen Frimpong Manso as the new head of the Ghana men U-17 national team.

The Black Starlets have been without a substantive head coach since the resignation of Laryea Kingston in May last year.

The 65-year-old together with his two assistants; Nana Kweku Agyemang and Jacob Nettey, are expected to begin new nationwide scouting from henceforth to establish a redoubtable side who will be up for international assignments very soon.

The two-time world champions last regrouped in May for the WAFU Zone B U-17 Championship which also served as qualification for the next CAF U-17 tournament but narrowly missed out.

This is going to be coach Frimpong Manso's second spell with the Black Starlets having previously handled them from 2009-2010, and is known for discovering and nurturing young talents and has also once served as the assistant coach of the Black Meteors.
