Ghana FA's Referees Manager, Alexander Kotey has specified that the domestic football governing body aims to invest hugely in the area of capacity building for football officials.

 


According to Mr. Kotey in their bid to improve the fledgling standards in match officiating and also to bring an end of referees hogging the headlines for the wrong reasons as fans cry foul over alleged poor officiating, the association is on the hunt looking for opportunities to take Ghanaian referees abroad for various training's.



“We are building the capacities of our referees. We are looking for more opportunities to take our referees on international training courses,” he told the Ghana FA media team.



Ahead of the 2024/25 football season, match officials are expected undergo training to sharpen their intelligence in handling matches.
