Executive Committee member, Dr. Randy Abbey, says sponsorship from the Ghana Football Association alone can't solve clubs financial challenges but admits they are working hard to secure an headline sponsor.
Ghana Football Association have failed to land an headline sponsor since the Kurt Okraku led administration took over in 2019.
The Ghana Premier league have Broadcasting rights sponsorship deal with Startimes and other deals with Nasco, Melcom and other brands.
Asante Kotoko won the Ghana Premier league and earned two hundred and fifty thousand cedis.
Ashanti Gold's Yaw Annor won the top scorer award with twenty-two goals.
Dr. Randy Abbey says the current administration is working hard to secure an headline sponsor for the league but insists that clubs can't rely solely on GFA sponsorship.
"The GFA is fighting very hard to get headline sponsor for the Ghana Premier League, but the clubs should also work hard to get sponsors to sponsor them because the GFA sponsorship alone cannot solve all their problems for them, but the GFA is working hard on that,” Dr. Randy Abbey said on Original FM.
