Former U-20 world cup winner Gladson Awako debunks having any friction with his coach, Samuel Boadu.

There were widespread reports of Gladson Awako having issues with Samuel Boadu.

Awako, 31, joined the Phobians from Great Olympics before the start of last season.

Hearts of Oak finished sixth in the Ghana Premier League but were able to defend their MTN FA Cup.

Gladson Awako insists that he has no issues with the gaffer and says Samuel Boadu is a great coach.

"It's never true that I have issues with coach Samuel Boadu, not at all," he said on Akoma FM.

"In a typical football team, arguments or disagreement between a player and his coach can emerge when the player is substituted after playing a good game. At training grounds, there could be some misunderstanding between a player and his coach. It doesn't mean we have issues," he insisted.

"The respect I have for coach Samuel Boadu is unimaginable.

He's a great Coach and i I love to continue working with him," he concluded.
