General Secretary of the Ghana Football Association, Prosper Harrison Addo, reveals that the official confirmation of relegated and promoted clubs will be made after Ashanti Gold- Inter Allies appeals have been decided.
Ashanti Gold and Inter Allies have been demoted to Division Two after they were found guilty of match manipulations.
Subsequently, both sides have appealed against the decision of the Disciplinary Committee.
The Ghana Premier league has almost reached the climax, with two games to end the season.
Asante Kotoko have already won the league with two games to spare.
The relegation battle has been Keen with two of the following teams, King Faisal, Dreams FC, Eleven Wonders, Real Tamale United and West African Football Academy, joining Elmina Sharks to Division One based on the league table, but the decision of the appeals committee on the Ashanti Gold- Inter Allies case can change the dynamics.
Prosper Harrison Addo says official relegation and
promotion will be made after the appeals committee ruling on Ashanti Gold- Inter Allies appeals.
"The head-to-head policy will be implemented after the last game is played. The goal difference will be considered between the two teams afterwards," he confirmed to Akoma FM.
"AshGold and Inter Allies have pending appeals concerning their demotion. I will call on the public to wait till a decision is taken on the appeal before we officially communicate about the number of the clubs that will be relegated or promoted," he said.
