Ghana's assistant trainer, Mas-Ud Didi Dramani has eulogised 'human centred' Chris Hughton as a person who priorities development.

Hughton was named as the new Black Stars head coach on Sunday after a long search.

Ghana had been without a lead trainer since Otto Addo stepped-down from the role after Black Stars' group stage exit at the 2022 World Cup.

Chris Hughton now takes full charge of the team after serving as the Black Stars technical advisor since last February until his new appointment.

The England borne with Ghanaian descent is expected to lead the Black Stars to qualify for the 2023 African Cup of Nations(AFCON) in Ivory Coast.

His immediate task is to lead Ghana against Angola in the qualifiers for the next AFCON.

Before Hughton's latest appointment, Didi Dramani has worked closely with Chris in the past year as the Black Stars assistant coach and technical advisor respectively.

Didi Dramani was also maintained as the assistant coach alongside George Boateng.

Didi said Hughton's 'human Centred' approach ensures development as he eulogised his boss.

"He is a human-centred person. He connects people a lot, and the person who connects people a lot tells you that he is someone who really stands out for development," he said.

“At that [Black Stars] level, you need people who will connect and work so that you bring your experience to bear so completely he is a human-centred person who connects people around,” he added.
