Former Black Stars midfielder, Emmanuel Agyeman-Badu is of the view that Ghana can regain its lost football glory if the junior national teams and the Ghana Premier League are developed.
Badu's comment comes after the Black Stars managed to record a goalless draw with Sudan on Thursday, on October 10, in a 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier at the Accra Sports Stadium.
After the pulsating draw with Sudan, Ghana are in danger of missing out on the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament.
Agyemang-Badu, who climbed through Ghana’s youth side's and the local league system, delved deeper on Ghana's football decline.
“This is football. It happened to Germany, Spain, England, and Italy. When you lose your glory, it is gone. To regain the glory, you restrategize," he told Max FM.
"It will take time. Let the people understand that. You rely on two things. One is the junior national teams and the local league."
