Ghana has dropped a place down on the latest Coca Cola FIFA ranking which was released on the early hours of today.

The Black Stars have booked a place to Qatar for the 2022 FIFA World Cup which is scheduled to commence later in November this year, after edging out West African neighbours Nigeria in a playoff.

Having secured qualification, the four time African champions also set off their 2023 AFCON qualifiers ablaze after amassing four points in their opening two matches, beating Madagascar at home and shared spoils with Central African Republic in Angola.

Just recently, Coach Otto's men picked up a slim win over lower-ranked Nicaragua but got thumped on by giants Brazil few days prior, all in an international friendly.

Ghana after all these currently find themselves 61st on the latest FIFA ranking, having dropped a place from the last one released and are now ranked 11th on the African continent.

They are seen as the lowest placed team in the mix of the African countries that have made it to the Mundial, despite ending 2021 on the 52nd position at world stage.

Ghana is housed in Group H alongside Portugal, South Korea and two time world champions Uruguay
