The nation's football governing body chief has dispelled the notion that his current administration does infringe on the work of the technical handlers of the various national teams as he insists such responsibilities are entirely the onus of the coaching staff when it comes to national assignments

CAF Second-Vice President Kurt Okraku has reiterated that, the current leadership and key management of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) does not select players for the Ghana national football teams.

With purported reportage of player invitation mostly done by the GFA Management Committee members, the Dreams FC cash-splasher has once again moved to dispel such seemingly authentic rumours that have gained currency in the west African nation by insisting that none of his entourage does engage himself or herself in player selection as that solely lies with the coaching staff at the various national football teams over international duties.

Appearing before Parliament's Select Committee on Youth and Sports, the nation's football governing body chief has said: ''It's the responsibility of the coaches to select players. This FA does not select players. We have hired and fired coaches. If this ExCO was into the business of selecting players for coaches, at least one of them will come out publicly.''
