The Ghana Football Association (GFA) is convening its Executive Council meeting today at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence in Prampram.
This gathering marks the first time that the GFA’s top decision-making body has met at this venue under the leadership of President Kurt Okraku.
The 12-member Executive Council is expected to address key issues concerning football governance, audit, and compliance. The agenda includes reviewing ongoing policies and initiatives aimed at fostering the development and growth of football in Ghana.
Beyond the important discussions, the Executive Council members will also attend the final of the 2024 KGL Foundation Inter-Regional U17 Colts Championship. The championship match, featuring teams from the Eastern and Western Regions, is scheduled to kick off at 14:00 GMT (2 PM).
Launched in 2021, the KGL Foundation Inter-Regional U17 Colts Championship has quickly become a crucial platform for identifying and nurturing young football talent in Ghana. Many players who have participated in the tournament have gone on to join Premier League and Division One League clubs, underlining the competition's significance in shaping the future of Ghanaian football.
