President of the Ghana Football Association, Kurt Edwin Simon Okraku has sent a congratulatory message to the Black Queens and added the entire Ghanaian population are very proud of them.

The Queens exhibited stellar performances throughout the qualifiers series and climaxed it with a 3-2 on aggregate win over Namibia to book a spot to the main competition.

They are finally returning to the WAFCON after five-year abeyance and last participated in 2018 when Ghana hosted the competition and suffered a group stage eviction.

GFA boss Kurt Okraku after the qualification, has heaped praises on the the entire Black Queens squad for their hard work and determination and for making the country very proud.

"Congratulations, Black Queens. Ghana is proud of what you represent; Passion, Determination & Hard work. Ayekoo to the entire team," he wrote on X.

The 2024 Women's Africa Cup of Nations will be held in Morocco next year.
