Black Queens head coach Nora Hauptle, has expressed a strong satisfaction after qualifying the team to the 2024 Women's Africa Cup of Nations.
Ghana secured their spot with a 3-2 on aggregate win over Namibia in the final round of qualifiers to advance to the main event.
The Queens are returning to the continent's biggest women's football competition for the first time in five years with their last appearance being in 2018 on home soil.
Reacting to the impressive triumph, the Swiss tactician stated she is very proud of the year she's had and feels it is the best Christmas present she can get.
"I’m proud of this year; we won out of 11, 10 games, and I think we can have a nice Christmas," Coach Nora Hauptle remarked, acknowledging the team's stellar performance throughout the year
The 2024 Women's Africa Cup of Nations will be held in Morocco next year.
