Black Stars technical advisor, Chris Hughton insists that Ghanaians want the team to qualify from the group stages of the World Cup but not necessarily how they do it.

Black Stars will battle it out in Group H together with Uruguay, South Korea and Portugal.

Ghana will face Brazil and Nicaragua in an international friendly later this month.

Otto Addo is expected to name his men for the two friendlies, with new available players expected to make their debuts.

The Former Brighton and Hove Albion gaffer was officially handed the technical advisor role in June till the end of the World Cup.

Hughton says Ghanaians want to see the Black Stars progress from the group stages of the global showpiece in Qatar.

"...Other things that happened in the past are very much in the past. And all our emotions and the emotions of the supporters are very much fixed on can we make it through the group stage of the world cup and make progress. And they won't care how we do it," he told Super Sports.

"It will be wonderful to be able to do it, playing free-flowing football, entertaining football. But they won't care as the supporters want to see us qualify from the group stage, do well, and we are going to do probably the best we can," he assured.
