Ghana’s senior women national team, the Black Queens, have arrived in the United Arab Emirates ahead of the 2025 Pink Ladies Cup.
The team touched down on the dawn of Wednesday, February 25, as they step up preparations for the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations, which comes off in Morocco next month.
Head coach Kim Lars Bjorkegren will use the four-nation tournament as a key testing ground to assess the strengths and weaknesses of his team, patch up all cracks before the WAFCON.
The competition comprise of three other nations; Hong Kong, Russia and Tanzania.
The Swedish tactician recently named his squad for the competition, including six new call-ups as he continues to shape the team for the continental campaign and will look better their third-place finish performance this time around.
The Black Queens will open their Pink Ladies Cup campaign against Hong Kong on February 28, before playing Russia on March 3 and Tanzania on March 6.
After the tournament, Ghana will engage Ivory Coast in their final friendly before heading to Morocco for WAFCON 2026.
