Hearts of Oak have announced the return of their head coach Slavko Matic after a one-week leave for medical check-up in Serbia.
Matic left the shores of Ghana after Hearts of Oak's match-week 10 game against Bechem United at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium.
The Capital based club confirmed the return of the 48-year-old gaffer in a statement after their away draw with King Faisal on Thursday night.
“Coach Matic is back from Serbia . He is expected to resume work today [Friday] with the squad,” the club's official statement reads.
Matic joined the 'Phobians' in the early stages of this season to replace out-gone head coach Samuel Boadu who was jettisoned in what is described as poor performance and started off on a very higher note.
He led them to an incredible eight matches without a defeat — a run which got them into the top four before losing 2-1 to Bechem United in their first match of the year.
