Ghana Premier League powerhouse Accra Hearts of Oak team bus was involved in a minor road accident on Saturday, May 16, 2026 while travelling to Samreboi for their Premier League match-week 33 fixture against FC Samartex 1996.

According to a statement from the club, the incident occurred during the team’s journey when a tricycle collided with the Hearts of Oak bus while crossing the road, causing brief panic among supporters and members of the football fraternity.

However, the club, in a statement has assured the public of their safety, with players and officials on board unharmed.

“On our way to Samraboi to honour our Matchday 33 fixture against Samartex, our team bus was involved in a minor incident after being hit by a tricycle while crossing,” the statement reads.

Meanwhile, a few roadside victims affected by the incident were taken to the hospital at Wassa Simpa for treatment.
