Asante Kotoko head coach, Dr. Prosper Narteh Ogum has expressed his satisfaction with his team's back-to-back victories over Hearts of Oak this season.

In the latest Super Clash at the Baba Yara Stadium, Asante Kotoko secured a convincing 2-0 win over their bitter rivals, with Ugandan international Steven Mukwala netting a brace.

This achievement marks the first time since 1987 that Kotoko has achieved a double over Hearts of Oak.

After the match, Coach Ogum couldn't contain his joy, stating, “I’m very happy. Beating Hearts of Oak back-to-back is not an easy job so I am happy. I think it’s an honor for this group of players, it’s been a while I think this happened, I am not very sure of when this actually happened but it’s been a while so we are all happy and you could see when the final whistle was blown and I think Steve made it beautiful,” he told StarTimes.

Currently sitting in 9th place with 43 points from 31 games, Asante Kotoko will face Great Olympics in their next home fixture in match week 32.
