Former Ghana youth international, Ransford Osei has made a debatable comments, that will definitely divibe opinions among the Ghanaian football fans on the internet, having stated he was a better goal scorer than Asamoah Gyan.

Gyan, played the senior national team for so many years and is currently the country's all time top scorer with 51 goals and has featured in three out of the four World Cups appearances the country has made.

However, Ransford Osei also featured for the Black Starlets and won the Silver shoe award at the 2007 U17 World Cup, staged in South Korea.

With the Black Satellites, he was adjudged the top scorer at the 2009 Africa Youth Championship of which Ghana emerged champions in Rwanda. He was also an influential member in Egypt when the team became the first African country to win the FIFA World Cup at U-20 level.

Ransford Osei also, was part of the Black Stars squad for the 2010 Africa Cup of Nations and he 16 international appearances for all our national teams he's played for and netted 10 goals.

Speaking in a recent interview, the ex- FC Twente star has made a controversial comments by stating he is a better finisher than Ghana's great Asamoah Gyan, just that he didn't get opportunities with the senior national team like the latter did.

"During my time, there was no one better,” He told Pipapipa Media.

“Asamoah Gyan was a fantastic player, but he wasn’t as clinical as me. I could have scored more goals than him, but he had more opportunities than me.”

“Even at Angola,” he explained, “I couldn’t get the chance because Asamoah Gyan was there and he was the most experienced player.”

Osei, 33, retired from professional football two years ago and his last spell was with Lithuanian topflight side FK Palanga.
