USA-based attacker, Joseph Paintsil feels he hasn't really been treated fairly in the Black Stars and feels he deserves consistent starting berth.
Paintsil, happens to be one player whom many a Ghanaian faithful believe he doesn't get the attention he warrants especially after being ignored in the Black Stars squad for the 2022 FIFA World Cup and also got subbed off at against Mozambique in the 2023 AFCON despite being the best player at half time.
Speaking on BAC Sports Channel, the mercurial wideman stated he deserves to giving much playing time in the senior men national team.
“I think I should get a look in the national team, but it’s sometimes uncomfortable to be on the bench,” he said.
The 27-year-old had a fantastic debut campaign last year with LA Galaxy where he netted 14 goals and provided 8 assists to help them emerge champions of the 2024 MLS Cup.
He is currently having a quad injury and is expected to be out for almost two months.
Joseph Paintsil due to this recent injury will be a huge doubt ahead of Ghana's matchday five and six fixtures against Chad and Madagascar in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
