The outgoing captain of Hearts of Oak has urged the club's talismanic forward to leave the club.
Ex-Hearts of Oak defender Fatawu Mohammed says counseling Daniel Afriyie Barnieh to extend his stay at the Rainbow club, he will incur wrath of God.
Management of Hearts of Oak have been sweating for the past months to conclude negotiations with Afriyie Barnieh over a new deal.
Barnieh's contract with Hearts of Oak will be expiring this month and he is expected to sign a contract extension with Hearts of Oak to keep his place in Ghana's squad for the 2023 CHAN tournament in Algeria next month.
However, Fatawu Mohammed in an interview with SportsObama TV said his former teammates should leave the club because of the maltreatment of players by the management of Hearts of Oak.
“I will not advise Afriyie to stay at Hearts of Oak. God will even punish me for that, Afriyie is my son but I will not advise him to stay God will not even forgive me, ” Fatawu Mohammed told Sports Obama TV.
Fatawu Mohammed has been released by Hearts of Oak following the expiration of his contract last month.
