USM Alger forward, Kwame Poku, admits that he didn't live up to expectations at his club this season.

Kwame Poku secured a move to the Algerian club for a reported $500,000 from Asante Kotoko last year.

Kwame Poku scored six goals and six assists for USM Alger last season.

The goal poacher made his debut for the Black Stars last year in Ghana's 1-1 draw against South Africa.

Kwame Poku says he wants to repay USM Alger for the money paid for him as he admits he had a bad season because of injuries.

"I’m not pleased with my performance this season at USM Alger because of injuries," he told Abusua FM.

"But I want to do better and repay them for the amount of money paid on me," he said.
