FK Qarabag forward Emmanuel Addai has shared his ambition to represent the Black Stars, describing it as the pinnacle of his footballing dreams.

Despite his impressive form for the Azerbaijani side, Addai has yet to receive a call-up from the Ghanaian national team. This season, he has distinguished himself as the only Ghanaian to score in the UEFA Champions League, helping Qarabag reach the knockout stages before bowing out to Newcastle United.

Speaking to Tv3 about his aspirations, Addai emphasized that representing Ghana and winning trophies with the Black Stars would define his legacy.

“No, I haven’t had any contact yet with the Black Stars, but I believe they’ve seen my performances. Everything happens in God’s time. I’m not in a hurry,” he told 3Sports.
“I really want to represent Ghana because I love my country. I grew up watching Ghana lose finals, and I want to help bring joy to my people.”

Addai added that his ultimate goal is to be remembered not only for his achievements abroad but also for making a meaningful contribution to Ghanaian football.

“I want to be remembered not just for playing abroad but for doing something meaningful for Ghana because I really love Ghana.”

This season, Addai has scored four goals across all competitions for FK Qarabag, continuing to make a strong case for a future call-up to the Black Stars.
