Black Stars newbie, Antoine Semenyo- who had his debut against Madagascar in the 2023 AFCON qualifiers, has disclosed he's now recovered fully and is ever ready to make Ghanaians proud whenever he is handed the opportunity
The Bristol City forward has been sensational in the English Championship right from last season and is replicating the same performance in the just-commenced 2022/23 campaign.
The 22 year old has four goals in six matches in all competitions so far despite battling injuries, reason he was given another call up to the Black Stars.
Currently, the lanky gunman is in the camp of the senior national team in France, getting ready for the crunchy pre-World Cup friendlies ahead.
Speaking in an interview with the GFA official YouTube channel, Semenyo, 22, feels elated to return to the national team and has vowed to make Ghanaians proud anytime he is given the starting berth.
"I'm happy obviously being with the team again. Unfortunately I had injury but is good to be back and I'm ready to show Ghanaians what I can do. When I get the chance, I will score to make the country proud. I'm just waiting for my opportunity."
"It's very important, obviously we've got some new boys in so all of us can join together, get use to how play and come together as a group and you know perform on the big stage. Everyone is in good spirit." He added
Ghana will start off on Friday, September 23, where they host five time world champions Brazil in an epic tie at the Stade Oceane Le Havre.
