Former Black Stars midfielder, Emmanuel Agyemang Badu after the CHAN draw, has tipped the Black Galaxies to go beyond the group phase and will be very amazed if they are unable to achieve that feet. 

The draw was held over the weekend at the Opera House, the beautiful architectural building in the host country, Algeria.

The 2009 U-20 World Cup winner was part of the three former footballers that conducted the balloting with the help of Director of CAF competitions Samson Adamu. 
 
Ghana has been handed a tough draw comprising of holders Morocco, Sudan and Madagascar in Group C, with two expected to advance into the next stage.
 
Agyemang Badu- who was part of Ghana's squad in the maiden edition of the competition in 2009, believes with the quality and experience in the current squad, the Galaxies will qualify from the group stages and will be very surprised to see them unable to do that. He told Radio Gold;
 
“I will be a bit surprised because we have quality, the likes of Afriyie Barnieh, we praying for them, they will have injury free.
 
“We have the Gladson Awako’s, the Seidu Suraj’s, Kasim and others.
 
“So we have a good team, we have an experienced coach, we have a very good assistant coach which is key to modern football these days.
 
“And with good preparations and no injuries, it will be very difficult for me to say we will be out of the group stages.
 
“We will sail through, I have played with the guys and I know the kind of experience they have, we just need to have a good preparation.
 
“But the question we have is that, we will sail through the group stages.” He finished
