Dreams FC forward John Antwi has addressed calls for his inclusion in the Black Stars squad following his impressive performances during the 2023/24 season.

The former Al Ahly and Pyramids player has made a significant impact since returning to the Ghana Premier League in the recent transfer window, playing a key role in Dreams FC's historic semifinal berth in the CAF Confederations Cup.

Despite his past call-ups for World Cup and AFCON qualifiers in 2017 and 2020, Antwi has only made two appearances for the national team.

However, the 31-year-old striker has expressed his readiness to join the Black Stars whenever called upon by the technical team.

"I will leave it to the Black Stars technical team. My focus is on performing at the club level, and whenever my services are needed, I will not hesitate to join the national team and contribute," he stated.

The Black Stars are set to resume action in June for the 2026 World Cup qualifiers against Mali and the Central African Republic.
